The VP-84ETH is an updated version of Kramer’s very popular VP-84 matrix switcher with an Ethernet port added to provide remote control and remote status viewing over the internet.
The Kramer VP-84ETH is an 8 input and 4 output matrix switcher with video bandwidth of over 300MHz at -3dB for high resolution RGBHV and balanced stereo audio signals. The unit is a true matrix switcher that can route any or all inputs to any or all outputs simultaneously. The VP-84ETH offers the same great performance as its predecessor, the very popular VP-84, but adds an Ethernet port which provides some exciting new capabilities. With the Ethernet port and Kramer’s K-Router™ control software, the VP-84ETH can be connected to any Ethernet network and controlled from within the building or from around the world.

The VP-84ETH matrix switcher has a sync/genlock input so the unit can be genlocked in a system and provide glitch free switching in the vertical interval. The unit allows audio follow video and audio breakaway switching. The high video bandwidth of the switcher enables it to process a wide range of video signals including computer graphics video signals and HDTV signals.
The VP-84ETH has 8 preset memory locations to store multiple switches as salvos along with a TAKE button to execute switches and salvos on cue. The unit can be controlled via front panel buttons, IR remote control, RS-232/485 and the Ethernet port. K-Router control software is included with the switcher. The machine is housed in a standard 19” rack mount enclosure that is 3RU high. It is powered by a worldwide 220/110 VAC 50/60 Hz power supply.
The VP-84ETH is in stock and available from Kramer Electronics sales companies around the world. It is the first in a series of models that will include the VP-82ETH, VP-88ETH, VP-64ETH and VP-66ETH; all of which are upgrades of existing models.
