Kramer Introduces the MV−6 3G HD−SDI Multiviewer

Kramer Electronics is pleased to introduce the high−performance MV−6, a versatile, high−performance multiviewer for 3G HD−SDI video signals. The device can display up to six inputs in any combination and output the image in multiple formats, supporting either pre−programmed or customizable screen divisions.

The MV−6 has a maximum input data rate of 3Gbps and is HDTV compatible. It features Kramer’s re−Klocking™ & Equalization technology, which rebuilds the digital signal to travel longer distances.

The MV−6 supports standard definition, high definition, and 3G high definition serial digital video signals (SD/HD−SDI/3G HD−SDI). Specifically, the MV−6 is compatible with SMPTE 259M, 292M and 424M signals and supports data rates of 270Mbps, 1483.5Mbps, 1485Mbps, 2967Mbps and 2970Mbp. Each input also has a corresponding re−clocked looping output. On the output side, the MV−6 supports SDI (259M), HD−SDI (292M) and 3G HD−SDI (SMPTE 424M) serial digital signals and has an HDMI and composite video output as well.

The multiviewer offers flexible control options via IR remote, Ethernet & RS−232 (supplied with PC control software). The 4.3” color LCD preview screen (16:9) displays the output signal on the front panel. The front panel also has buttons to freeze, resize and position the picture, as well as four pre−programmed and two user−definable screen handling buttons which make the unit easy to monitor and control.

The MV−6 multiviewer is intended for use in production studios, rental & staging and presentation applications and is a valuable device for professional broadcasting purposes.

The unit is housed in a standard 19” 2U rack−mountable enclosure, with rack “ears” included.

The MV−6 is available in stock from Kramer Electronics sales companies around the world.
