Quick-Service Restaurants Add Sight and Sound Experience

Quick-Service by Kramer

One of the world’s largest metropolitan quick-service restaurants greets customers with high-tech audio/video electronics mixed with memorabilia, reflecting the restaurant’s personality and history in a sight and sound experience. Driven by Kramer Electronics and Sierra Video Systems products, visitors experience crystal clear audio and stunning video on over 15 LCD displays throughout the two-story restaurant, all powered by the Sierra Video Systems 3232V5 matrix switcher. Screen content from DVD and satellite video sources is managed from the switcher’s control panel. The system also includes three Kramer Electronics VP-719DS ProScale™ digital scaler/switchers, and a myriad of Kramer cables, resulting in a seamless installation that delivers extremely high quality video images throughout the restaurant. Visuals include news and sports, informational messages, collages of memorabilia and the restaurant’s historic commercials.

Phil Earnest, National Sales Manager for JESA Nationwide Services, the local professional audio/video integrator, worked with the restaurant to design and develop the system. Earnest chose Kramer and Sierra Video Systems products for their quality and reliability. “We knew the Sierra Video switchers could handle the video distribution throughout the restaurant, while preserving the original picture quality,” he said. “This is one of the top-producing quick-service restaurants in the country, so it was imperative that the product be uncompromising in both performance and consistency.”

This downtown restaurant location joins several other quick-service sites in delivering high technology experiences. Another suburban location also features Kramer Electronics and Sierra Video Systems equipment designed by JESA. The restaurant includes the Sierra Video Systems Sierra PRO™ 3232V5 matrix switcher and Kramer Electronics VP-719DS ProScale digital scaler/switchers linked to over 20 LCD flat screen displays throughout the building. Custom overhead mounting hardware for the displays provides a “surround” video effect.

At these high-tech restaurants, guests are awed with powerful visual and audio communication from the moment they open the door – and customers are finding their visits both quick and entertaining.
