Its MSRP alone commands attention - it's hard to imagine that a video scaler with seamless switching can be sold so cheaply. Kramer also loads the VP-719DS with plenty of inputs, including DVI and RGB, and supports 13 different output formats. You can even define your own format if you know the specific sync and voltage parameters for your display. the VP-719DS packs an awful lot into its chassis for the price and is probably one of the best seamless switcher scaler values out there- It supports a wide range of display standards, including wide screen flat panels and front projectors, in a nearly plug-and-play package. The composite decoding and motion compensation could be better, and true dissolves or seamless cut transitions would be nice. But all of

those options would add quite a few dollars to the price of the scaler-and in many cases, you won't need them. This scaler is so easy to set up and use that its strengths outweigh its weaknesses. For general-purpose presentation switching between computer-generated images and video sources, it's more than up to the job. "
